I’ve been eager to start a blog now for quite some time, but it always seemed to take the back burner over the last few busy months. Shoots, editing, marketing, financials, and everything “personal” through and in-between. Who can find the time right? Well, I’ve finally found an exciting place to start! I had the honour of shooting photography for my good friend Jolene as she married her best friend Arthur.
The day had a relaxed calmness to it, as the gals got ready at a cute B&B that had an “Old Quebec” feel to it! There was joy, excitement and anticipation in the air as the “first look" approached. But this was unlike any first look I’ve ever seen. Jolene had a unique “double” first look. First a “daddy-daughter” one, then with Arthur. I thought this was such a cool idea, and resulted in some incredibly beautiful and emotionally filled moments.
The ceremony was simple, yet powerful, as this couples trust and love for God shined bright. This love echoed through the church as the two were lifted up by their community and unified as one in marriage!
AND BOOM!!! Let the party begin!! This.... was one fun reception! Great food, and non-stop dancing, highlighted by an amazingly unique traditional dance by Arthur’s relatives.
This whole day was filled with so much love, laughter, joy, joyful tears, oh, and did I mention LOVE!!! I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
